I need your help. I am cleaning out stuff and I can't identify some of the stuff. Above is a picture of 3 treasure kits. Brown, Grey and Black. Does anyone remember which treasure kit came from which year? I think these are the only years with fake leather treasure bags.
NOW this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

George, I think the white one is 2003 and the others are 2004/5 (not sure which). They're definitely from those three years, because 2006 had a spider-theme on the bags, and the bags had no markings (except for things like Gold Ticket runs) after 2006.

Well...here is a photo from So Cal 2003 which shows the 2003 bags had no gold foil -- just a deboss stamp.

And here is a photo from So Cal 2005 that shows black bags with gold foil.

My guess is that we did Red bags (w/gold foil) in 2004 -- and Gray and Black bags (w/gold foil) in 2005. Another photo not shown should both Gray and Black at So Cal 2005.

BTW, here is a photo of some folks at Gen Con 2005 that look familiar.

Jeff, great photos, thanks! What do you mean by a deboss stamp? The grey bag does seem to have the lettering stamped onto them, but there is gold ink in the stamp. I can't really make out any stamp or lettering on the bags in the 2003 photo. Out of curiosity, what is the lady holding - are those little boxes or business cards?

I suspect the grey bag was done in a different year than the Black and Red, because those seem to have the gold ink printed on the bags while the grey bag seems to have the lettering almost stamped into them (I've got black and grey bags in front of me right now).

Boy, I wish I could go back in time and buy some of those 2003 bags! I didn't start buying tokens until they were first available at GENCON in 2004, and that was only a couple of bags.
