I didn't even connect the dot there to realize Death's Door was alchemist ink. I agree, very few people are mulching those.

I’m so hard up for ink, I mulched like 30 PoDD. I’ve got more in the mulch bin if someone wants to trade hit me up.

I just knew you were planning on killing the rest of us.

He just wants to get more chance to use the Cleric neck transmute?

Indeed. Maybe I need to start messing with more puzzle stuff so we can take more damage? Probably need to pickup a Ray’s Ring first though..

Yeah, that's easy to see just by opening up the TTW and looking at the "Timeless Recipes" tab. Top two recipes (Aron's - 2017, Ashenne's-2021) show a jump in trade goods required.

On the real value front, I literally just deleted the calculations two days ago, though I could recreate without too much hassle, but I worked out the difference in cost between a "Lute of Free Fury - 2019" vs "Mage Medallion - 2021" using values from the respective years and the numbers were roughly $415 for LoFF vs $525 for MM.

Using 2021 prices instead of the individual year prices, the LoFF is even cheaper at $395.

P Stone has been going for higher prices all year due to the extreme number used in transmutes this year.

The Cleric legendary uses 55 for example.

Dwarven steel is the one I’m short on.

I have about 30 inks and close to 70 P Stones

I would suggest selling the ink, unless you're saving it for something special. I think it'll come down once PTD start, as people no longer feel like they'll be used twice.

Honestly both of them are worth more right now than what they should be selling for. It's a good time to sell trade goods if you're not building something

I do plan on making the legendary charm bracelet next year, but have no idea what is going to be required. I’ll get good counts on everything tonight and decide how many I want to part with.

It's a real tough balancing act. Alchemist Ink, Dwarven Steel and Philosopher's Stone are the 3 I've needed to buy for my transmutes.

The interesting thing with VTD is that with all of the runs I do, I'm getting a lot of treasure and am in a good position with Aragonite, Elven Bismuth and Oil of Enchantment. But that wouldn't be as true for those who only do a couple of runs each event. That makes it tough when we get to recipes, as different people probably have excess of different trade goods.

Yep, we all have excess of different goods. We can make some educated guesses though based on what trade goods mix comes out of 10-packs and auctions, and the trade good mix coming out of the treasure box (not the same ratios, since no Commons show up in treasure, and some tokens only show in treasure).

However, theoretically, TD could know the number of all trade goods currently in circulation. If they've kept good track of things, they know how many of each were ordered from the manufacturer and how many they currently have in inventory.

Good point about what TD might theoretically know. I sort of hope they do have that info so they can make more informed decisions.

It would also be usable in making sure enough of each trade good was onsite for transmutes.

I didn't follow this entire thread, but enough to put out the warning that there is going to be a lot of stone out there when physical dungeons start up. The 2020 token collection is heavy with rare necklaces. Once we start pulling 2020 rares (assuming when physical starts up) there is going to be a lot for rare necklaces that get transmuted to trade goods. I have been short of Philosopher Stones for a little while now, but now that will change when I pulling from a new mix.

Also if anyone is really wanting to stock up on Death's Door and/or Revival Root, I have decided to liquidated about half (or more) of my store or them from over the years. I am not looking to move them at INK prices though....at least not yet. I am not convinced that holding them is creating an ink shortage, as I have always held them and all healing potions and never had an ink issue in the past. This year I did take A LOT of healing potions and convert them to ink just because my group isn't going through them at the rate I am accumulating them.
