TOPIC: RoSP Classes - 2020 Season

Not sure this is the best subforum for this question, anyway:

With VTD 2B and VTD 3A both being in the 2020 season, what's the process for playing RoSP classes in 2020?

Will the reviewer look up the number and make a note somewhere that number got used?

Then, 3B starts 2021 season. RoSP classes will no longer be RoSP classes and become Alt Classes or whatever. If 2B/3A enables a one/year use, 3B the beginning of future one/year uses?

There is no way to play an RoSP class for V2B as far as I am aware. The apps and whatnot do not support them at the moment.

My assumption is they won't happen for 2020 and 2021 will have an extra use in some form or another.


There's a lot of work coding an additional 12 cards just to handle the RoSP classes.

Cranston has added the functionality to the mobile apps in the most recent release. So that option is at least available. No word from Acherin (that I've seen) about plans for supporting them in tdcharactercreator.com yet though.

Very nice. But this also takes us back to the original post. Since the apps can support it, how do we claim a voucher to play these classes?

From Cranston's update about the mobile app:

You will be asked to show your Rod of 7 Parts token at the start of the run to use the Prestige Class on your run.

You will be asked in coaching to show your RoSP. As far as activating the class itself there is a new slotless item in the app for the RoSP voucher, or under the website its in the VTD settings portion. If the question is what is keeping people honest about not using the class if they don't actually have the RoSP it's part honesty and part the DM will notice if no one claimed a voucher and yet tries to cast "Stone Storm".

Thanks for sharing. I missed that post. Will the DM be recording Ro7P #s to keep people from using it more than once? Or will that be more of an honor system? Not sure it really matters as a lot of TD is already an honor system.

My understanding is that 3B is part of the 2021 season even if the treasure is 2020.

RoSP/Skull classes become reset with 3B?

Wonder/Special/ER effect for 3B?

Anything else not treasure related that is TBD for 2021 season?
