I’m curious about the rationale for Greaves going towards Mystic Silk.

Greaves are a form of Armor. Maybe the Uncommons should go towards Oil of Enchantment and the Rares to Aragonite.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

While I would also love this, I would hope two things; Monks are not left off as they are from many “armors” in those categories. Folks announce them on the forums first, because they seem like they may have some demand being box only finds.

The Bull Bliss Helm does not add to AC, but counts for Aragonite.
Same for Helm of the Boar.
And Nether Stout Helm

Are you saying that none of those are armor?

The +1 bracers of defense add to armor and they are MS.

i dont think it is going to change. I was just pointing out that none have AC help so it is hard to argue that

Graves are basically "leg bracers"
Those go to MS

Any change would be VERY welcome, though need to be balanced in the future.

Also, if we make a change, I would think either
a. only newly printed greaves (probably 2021 at this point) or
b. older greaves can count for either.

I love the idea of it.

I am having trouble following this with the use of they/them.

"Monks are not left off as they are from many “armors” (they being monks)." Why would monks be left off greaves when they are already on all available greaves and no one has suggested changing that.

"Folks announce them on the forums first, because they seem like they may have some demand being box only finds." The them should refer to folks but I think it refers to greaves, so I am guessing the they is greaves too.

Folks announce the greaves on the forums first, because the greaves seem like the greaves may have some demand being box only finds??? If that is what you mean then I haven't seen much demand for the greaves because their are so many of them up to this season. They made up just over 6% of the total pulls. This year they look to be just under 3%. So I expect a lot of 2018 and 2017's to be made into silk. I don't know about 2019's. Probably still a few because we only have 1 greave slot, just maybe not as many.

I doubt it will change. But it is true that there are armor tokens that count towards Aragonite that have no armor benefit.

I fully anticipate a DreamCrusher tm any time now.

As you go through life, you will encounter things that may not appear to make sense and you may seek to change them.
Sometimes they don't make sense because you don't have all the pertinent information.
Sometimes they don't make sense because they never made sense.
Sometimes they don't make sense because at one point they did make sense but the world around them changed and now that sensefullness no longer applies.
Sometimes it's just better to acknowledge the senselessness and move on because a change isn't possible/practical.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Or the traditional D&D rationale: Because magic. ;)

Beyond logical consistency, whatever that may be, do we really need more MS producing tokens?

In any case, as treasure box only tokens, they are not plentiful enough to make a significant difference.

And I believe that was the gentlest dream crushing I have yet to see.
