TOPIC: Mistake in recipe for Orion's Belt

Mistake in recipe for Orion's Belt 4 years 7 months ago #1

The TEP_form.pdf doesn't list any GP cost for Orion's Belt, but the Tokendb page lists 5,000GP. Which is correct?

I know which one I like. B)

But I’m guessing Tokendb is correct.

I would expect a Relic to have a 5K GP requirement.

Personally I like the 5k version of the patterns feel more in line with other relic formulas, but also a little to expensive given the current market.

Orions - 12 unique bits (lets call them $10 once the price settles (though I suspect thats optimistic) = $120 + $204 in trade good (kirks store prices) + $100 in gold = $424

Awakened synergy 2 pyps at $100 + $185 trade goods + $100 gold + a $100 fleece = $585

Frost giant girdle 1 PYP at $100 + 297 in trade good + $40 gold + $10 in mis rares/uncommons = $447 ish

Now the issue with this argument is you cant really get bits for $10 right now, market seems closer to 30-40 for 2019s. That would put the price of orions up by somewhere around $300 ( give or take $725) so I can see the argument for dropping the $100 in gold. Question is do you think the prices will stay this high after gencon/are you ok with this just being a more expensive relic.

I know where I fall (but I also have a vested interest)

I think pricing the Relic Recipe fragments at $10 is SUPER optimistic, even when the price settles.

I highly doubt an auction of relic recipe fragments starting at 1 cent will hit $10 a fragment this time next year.

I would guess closer to 7.50 and maybe as low as 5.

Unless more information is released about the fragment and we can use them for more than was disclosed.

The prices today reflect probably the maximum demand they ever will have from now on, and supply is about to massively increase.

Agree with this. Huge supply increase coming up.

If anyone is interested, I'll take 4 sets worth of bits at this price in December. We can set up a TD 'call' if you will!

They shouldn't drop lower than the value of a 2019 monster bit, since they can substitute for those. I don't see that value getting anywhere near as low as $5.
