Is it possible to split a 25k bar back into smaller denominations using the token exchange form? Seems like you can, but wanted to make sure.

if you are looking for smaller reserve bars. other wise you might be out of luck unless you find an individual to do it.

I have had some luck doing a transmute in person and only having a 5k bar and the recipe called for 4k so I got a 1k bar back in return, its a lot easier to do that in the in person transmuting if thats your issue.

if you want 5K or 1Ks or a mixture I can do that at origins

if you want less than 1K I cant do that

Please specify what denominations (some combination of 5K and/or 1K) you'd like to get back.

I can do probably up to 15K in smaller than 1K tokens. Depending how much you need smaller than 1K it may come at a premium due to be older GP tokens.

Thanks all for the answers, and the offers to help. Reserve bars are what we need - have a few transmutes that need a 5k bar coming up, so splitting via token exchange form will work great for us.

To be clear (although I think you've gotten the answer) - 1,000 and 5,000 GP bars don't care the source of their GP - it can be reserve bars or "loose" GP. You can just enter in a transmute for 25 1K bars and send in a 25k bar (or any other breakdown).

Sorry to take this thread on a tangent but I had a process/etiquette question that applies to this for a transmute I am sending in tomorrow.

If a transmute calls for 25K in reserve bars, is it ok to send 25 1K bars? Is that considered rude? I tend not to convert my 1K bars into 25K bars since only legendary transmutes need them. Thank you!

What besides a legendary takes 25k? legendaries do require the 25K Bar. So I am confused by your question.

I was wondering the same thing as Fred above, though my question is at the 5k level. Is it ok to send in smaller GP tokens (non-1k bars) for transmutes requiring 5k GP? I don't want to be a pain.

You need to look at the recipe and see what it says. If it says in Reserve bars then it needs to be reserve bars. If it says 25,000 GP Eldritch Bar then it needs to be the the 25k Elritch bar.
