Scenario: On Alternate Earth, one can equip all the same tokens we have here on Earth Prime. But in addition to those, Alternate Earth has a LOT more Treasure Enhancing tokens. So many so that one could literally equip at least a +3 TE in every single slot. These bonus TEs stack with everything, but give no other benefits.

If you had the opportunity to play TD on this Alternate Earth, where on the All Gear vs. All TEs spectrum would you stand? What non-TE gear could you not live without--if any? Would you enter a dungeon wearing nothing but TEs if it meant pulling ~100 treasure per run?

For the sake of this scenario, let's assume ghosting is not permitted and no slotless TEs exist.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

LOL I was just thinking about this and I quickly came to conclusion that I didn't have enough data. How much are tickets. What is the treasure mix. Do I even need treasure if I have all the tokens I want. Do I have enough money for tickets that I don't have to sell an tokens to pay for tickets? What is the token economy like.

I play with just enough gear to get max XP, and no more. The rest goes to TEs.
Once I've earned max XP, then every future run is all TEs on normal or non-lethal.

Wade does bring us something else I hadn't considered. Doing multiple runs with different gear combinations.

This is probably the ultimate answer. To make it more interesting, can alternate earth have a cap to treasure boosting per difficulty, and only get treasure if you survive on difficulties above normal?
Ex:
Non-lethal. Max 5 treasure. You get this no matter what.
Normal: Max 10 treasure, you get this even if you die
Hardcore: Max 20 treasure. You get 10 Treasure if you die.
Nightmare: Max 40 treasure. You get 3 if you die.
Epic: Unlimited. You get 0 if you die.

Alternatively, have higher difficulties have increasingly more fancypants tokens available for completion, so it becomes a tradeoff between drawing a ton from the box or drawing fewer times from the box but also having a big shiny alternate reward waiting for your amazingly powerful TE-less self at the end of the dungeon.

I think I would go with high power tokens and TEs.
So if I have a great token like boots of the 4 winds or fire giant belt in a slot, then I go with that, if my options at a slot are overall week then I put a TE in there.
That said, I’m not sure the treasure would be worth pulling if I wasn’t going to use anything other than TEs anyways.

Also, I want my weapon that lets me beat the treasure pulls out of a monster, and would all the monsters be piñatas

For me, it would probably depend on the people I run with and whether we're trying some kind of challenge.

For a PUG though, if I'm stuck running on Normal, it'd be almost all TE in every slot.

Yeah, it'd be tough to do a cabal run without the set. ;)

I think there is a hidden assumption in some of the answers which is something like: “the value of a treasure pull is similar to what it is today.”

In this scenario if nothing else changed there would be gigantic distortions to the token economy that I think make it hard to imagine what a pull would feel like (probably it would feel like pulling commons and 10 GP tokens would today).

So:

Scenario A - treasure pulls continue to be worth a few bucks. I probaly run on normal with all TEs except something like: weapon, cloak, RoSP and Boots of the Four Winds and 1-3 class making tokens (MeC, Bard Lute, etc.).

Scenario B: Treasure pulls are devalued substantially. I’d stick with CoA any maybe other similarly powerful boosters, and probably not even bother with things like the ioun stones and shoot for Nightmare.
