If you're looking at more than one, you might consider waiting and seeing what happens to the prices of Ring of Heroism and Charm of Heroism once the Eldritch set rules change. I suspect a LOT of people will have spare Rings and Charms for sale once the Kilt is available and becomes someone's second eldritch item, thereby granting them +1 level and freeing up a precious slot.

I agree with above. Wait and see how things shake out with the new Eldritch set changes. Still expect to pay a moderate sum but supply may lower prices. Try to aim for charm if you can. Are you working towards the Eldritch Kilt?

I wasn't fully paying attention to the Eldritch set because I thought I didn't have any but next year I will be making the kilt, so I could look at another piece of the set to get my +1 level

Are you collecting the teeth?

Other existing Eldritch items are Significantly more than the cost of a Ring of Heroism.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

You'll need all the teeth to make the Eldrich token, and tooth 1 and 2 are fairly expensive at this point.

The Might set is pretty good and also bestows level 1. The individual pieces have value even when the set is broken up too, so that would be a consideration. Of course, that depends on the rest of your build. I used that for our Dwarf Fighter, and my Druid to get 5.

In our 2017 runs we had 10 players at level 4. For 2018 we had 10 players at level 10, so we too got token-fever last year. Most of that was due to Ring of Heroism.

Even with several folks getting Kilts this year: if you started with Tooth #4, 1,2,3 are going to cost $700-800 (?) and still take a while to transmute.
Bot4W is $1,200-1,400?

Charming set, might set, ring of heroism and charm of heroism are all good options. While I agree that the pure level boost items will lose a little value, I think they will settle into a spot of reasonable value (maybe 20% drop). Unless you need to boost the level before PAX, it's probably worth waiting until closer to Origins to make that purchase happen.

Jeebus. I hope the dungeon didn't give them too much trouble.

Thanks for the clarification I was just about to write a response asking because I don’t think there are ten level 10 players in the game.
