2018 Completion Token Listing 5 years 8 months ago #1

OK, I'm trying to figure out the full completion token listing for the 2018-2019 season. Please help me correct any errors or omissions.

N1 UC - Figurine of Power: Chipped Bull
N1 R - Drinking Horn of Bliss
Moongate UC - Boots of Charging
Moongate R - Shoes of Speed

Dancing R - Berserker Gloves
Patron Run R - Amulet of Plane Shifting

GenCon 2018
N1 UC - Charm of the Warm Wind (Gold & Onyx?)
N1 R - Charm of Thorny Barbs
N2 UC - Mead Master Earcuff
N2 R - Ale Master Earcuff
N3 UC - Horn of Calling
N3 R - Horn of Rally
Viper UC - Salve of Sacrifice OR Hat of Muffling
Grind - Ring of Pandemonium (Onyx)

Gamehole Con 2018
N2? UC - Ioun Stone Glass Sphere
N2? R - Ioun Stone Glass Cube
N3? UC - Hungry Hero's Feast
N3? R - Golden Apple of Salvation

PAX South 2019
N1? UC - Soul Jar
N1? R - Soul Coffer (note that the one in the GT bag was onyx)

N2? R - Boots of Inferno Step (note the one in the GT bag was onyx)

One unknown token that appeared in the GT bag but I know nothing about. Perhaps it was going to be the GHC Grind completion token?

PAX South is correct.

For Origins I have:

Boots of Charging - Moongate
Berserker Cloak - Dancing
Figurine of Power Chipped Bull - N1

Shoes of Speed - Moongate
Berserker Gloves - Dancing
Drinking Horn of Bliss - N1
Amulet of Plane Shifting - Patron

Gen Con is correct.

GHC and PAX 2019 look to be correct (so far, depending on which set goes with which run)

EDIT: Note - The Charm of Warm Wind comes in two flavors (Gold and Onyx backings). Gold backing was in the GT bag.

We were the 3rd run of Viper's Pit on Thursday, and our entire run was given a hat of muffling as our completion token. I was told this was given out for a period of time to Viper's Pit runners, but was changed at some point.

I have an Onyx Ring of Pandemonium - if you're tracking backings.

As a side note, IMO this is entirely too many comp tokens for one year. I get we want something unique at every con. But in the words of Agent J in Men in Black, “because... damn.”

I'm of the opposite opinion. I feel it's like Pokemon. Gotta catch em all!

Also, I already missed 3 cons this year so I'm arguing against my own self interest.

I'm with Brad on this one. There are almost as many completion tokens this year as there are URs, I feel like that's a few to many. Not a big deal but I feel like a fixed a season should have a fixed set of completion tokens.

Yup. That’s my point.

My binder has two full pages of comp tokens, trophies, box-only, and 3- and 4-pt transmutes. That doesn’t include Trans-Charms. When the number of chase tokens exceeds the number of commons by 25%, and URs by 150%, it just seems out of whack to me. Obviously, YMMV.

And I’m not complaining. Okay, maybe a little :)

I have updated the first post. I think there is only one unknown token from the GT bag at this point, and my theory is perhaps that was going to be the GHC True Grind completion token.

I'm in the camp of loving all of these cool completion tokens. A lot of them were from the tokens we designed at the 2017 True Dungeon celebration that ended up not being used in the standard set. It's possible this isn't the new normal, more of a one time thing. But I love the variety.

Alternate theory: it feels like the token in question could go with Hat of Muffling as an UC and R pair. Perhaps they are intended for Origins 2019?

Yes! Love to see some of the designs we came up with, even with a few modifications along the way.
