Yes, that's my goal. Since 99% of Wish Rings are NEVER used for a wish, I'm happy if 99% of them WERE used for a wish. Perhaps additionally remove the GP alternative in future Legendary recipes so that each Legendary requires a Wish Ring (used or not).

If we want wish rings to be used for wishes, we have to be careful what we wish for, imo.

Wish rings are usually incredibly rare in the world of D+D. I realize this isn't D+D, but they are FAR more common in TD.

I think we generally want to encourage using consumables, these included. It might make things a lot more fun that way.

I think we have to be careful just how much we make changes to existing norms though.

It depends on which problem we are trying to solve. Since the original intent was to use them more for wishes, the logical solution seems to be to make the wishes actually worth it.

That said, I'm not sure I agree this is a problem that needs to be solved. I agree that keeping their use rare makes them special.

I could be convinced that a 'used' wish ring could still be worth something, maybe 5K towards a legendary instead of 1K. That would cut down on the cost of using one somewhat. That number could be adjusted in the interests of balance.

Maybe we could do something like 1 unused wish ring or 3 used wish rings for a legendary. Might be an acceptable compromise in terms of opportunity cost. The unused ring would be like wishing for 3 spent rings to turn in.

Wow.
I love this idea.

I don't even know if it's a *good* idea... I just love the concept of a Luck Blade in the game.

And a transmutable Weapon which uses (multiple?) Wish Rings to create would be very cool.

I Think the reason the legendary has a gold or ring option is that some people are going to build the relic and then slowly save up the stuff to make a legendary. If you require a wish ring it makes it where you are basically required to buy a 8k order or purchase a ring on the secondary market. At this point the gold option allows a lot more flexibility. I’m not in the top tier of spenders, but with my normal buying habits I’ll be able to make a legendary every few years. Requiring wish rings Will definitely change that math.
