TOPIC: Brownie figurine - how does it work?

Brownie figurine - how does it work? 5 years 11 months ago #1

Thr brownie figurine operates based on the initial puck slide done for damage with an ammunition using item (token db). If the initial attack is a critical, so is the ammunition used via the brownie,

This lends to several questions:
1. Does the additonal ammo gain all the bonuses of the initial attack? I.e. witha +1 mighty sling with a character doing +10 damage due to str, would the second ammo gain +10 damage plus the damage wheel damage (plus whatever the additional ammo was - such as a +1 sling stone?)
2. Would this repeat a rogue’s sneak attack if it were on the first attack qualifiying for a sneak attack? Is the second piece of ammo counted as an additional attack (if so, why not slide a second puck?) The rogue language of once per combat becomes important as the question becomes if this is part of the same attack?
3. Would the damage be added together for one total or as two separate damage totals for purposes of damage resistance?

This item is odd in how it could be applied. In the case of criticals, it seems like combining this with the keen slayer bows would be incredibly potent,

No
Only one attack is made. The second ammo token is just the damage as stated on the token. E.g. (as the 2nd ammo token used), a +1 Arrow would deal +1 damage, an Arrow of Fire would deal +2 damage.

No
Only one attack is made.

One total since only one attack is made.

I think i understand the confusion; ammo doesnt work the way you think. Ammo is simply turned in for a small bonus to your single ranged attack.

To be precise, you turn in ammo before you slide. That includes the second Brownie ammo, if applicable. If you miss, it is wasted. If you hit, the bonus damage is added to the total. If it’s a crit then, yes, the damage total, including from ammo, is doubled.
