At this point idk anything will happen, no set bonus.
Too bad, at the highest levels, Monks and Rangers are just stronger options, depending on the new powers this could have been kinda cool to let Barb,Fighter and Pal catch up a bit,
Again at this point, I don't think anything will happen. I guess now a better Question is does the game need the money. Over the next 3 years, will selling a extra 300 Orange tokens help out. If not then let's move on. If it's just AC I see like 10-20 players buying the full set,
With a cool set bonus I can see another 100 players buy a piece a year trying to get there. So that's how I got to 300 more over 3 years.

Yeah, I really would love to collect and craft the legendary armor but +6 AC isn't worth it. It's sad because a simple bonus, preferably class specific, would do the trick. No cost to Jeff, smart bonuses wouldn't require DM work, players are happy, and more Orange to attract new "1%ers."

Originally I wanted non damage bonuses as its armor, not a weapon. I think a few good suggestions have been mentioned and it's really unfortunate some folks don't like the idea of incentivizing these otherwise underwhelming legendaries.

What about some immunity granting effects that help the Fighters and Paladins do their job?

I'm not saying grant all of these, but one to a handful would be very beneficial. I'm thinking of a Ribbon-type effect vis-a-vis Final Fantasy.

Status Effects

Blind
Charm
Confusion
Disease
Fear
Maze
Stun

or just something like Retribution Damage.

Because if a player is at a level where he or she can afford to create three legendary armor pieces, odds are that person does not really need more STR, HP, or AC. Probably not really lacking in the Saves department either.

Very heavily weighted in favor of Fighters and Paladin.

I agree with you mainly - but I think I've become convinced over this design season that it would be nice to have some "fighter only" items.

Like - yes - one of their main class bonus is "can use most of the stuff" - but we should have a "superior" weapon or other item every other year or so so there can be something just for them.

Like a 2 hander that fighters may wield 1 handed if they choose, or maybe just a better weapon that other classes may use, like a an updated Dread Sword with +2 typed damage baked into the wheel or something.

Rangers just got a charm that deals +6 damage on a ranged slide hit.

Maybe fighters should get a charm that deals +6 damage on a melee slide hit.

I guess i'll have to disagree, I don't see why fighters need a fighter only legendary right now. They have the best access to Legendaries of any class. If you wanted to argue for a fighter only token that helped re-enforce or emphasize the fighter class definition i'd be willing to hear it out. I think one of the issues with just making fighters the versatile damage guys is it limits them to DPS, which pretty much every class considers themselves DPS and IMO DPS isn't something that should limited to just a single class. MMOs run into this problem ALL the time.

If we wanted to define fighters specifically as Best AC Best Weapon choice, i think they are there already. I think we should take a step beyond that and enhance one of their other powers like the re-slide or something. Otherwise you're right back at the arm's race again. You make a amaze-balls sword then the barbarian's want it because they are DPS/best weapon selection, then the rangers want it because they are 2 puck DPS. and so on and so on.

We should be looking at Key and Vital role defining URs to be the next legendaries. We've done Heal boosting and spell damage boosting, its time to do Bard Song and Rogue boxes. Would be easy enough to do some type of combine all the existing elements into a single token type deal.

Per Jeff, the next Legendaries are going to focus on Fighters and Spell casters.

Not exactly...

Maybe
Even -3 all damage
Puzzle push Eldritch included.
Maybe it adds a charm slot.
Right on the middle armor looking cool.
Maybe it's another way to play Rod7 character cards.
There have been many good ideals
Put out here.
We could work out the set powers so that everyone is happy.

As is only the major store owners and a few others will buy these.
The Fighter DF, Pal in the High end Groups, Is not paying $3300+ to rock this set.
I'm sorry but it's just my opinion
But if your Character is decked out in a
Legandary Armor set, it should be something cool.
Not "that's kinda cool I guess
But not that good of a investment for the money"

I would like 3 or more legendaries do like freedom of movement or 3 legendary armor do like cause 1 attack to miss because I am to pretty to die or something. To me it isn't overly needed but would be fun.

These are all great ideas as well. Retribution damage would be great, although it wouldn't trigger very often with such a high AC.

Things like Free Movement, Feather fall (not very thematic, they'd more likely drop like a stone), etc.

I meant some Fighter only UR or Rare tokens.

I agree some others (bard cough cough) should get their own legendary before fighters get their umpteenth usable legendary weapon.

As far as rewarding people for making Legendary items - I think the reward is that they own Legendary Items. :)

I am in that small sub-set. Having a complete set of Orange Tokens appeases my minor collector obsession when it comes to TD. B)

And, no... I feel having a bonus for a Legendary Set (Helm/Armor/Shield) makes sense. And.. it should be something cool and legendary. I’ll let Jeff decide that. ;)

My choice?

Maybe something like +1 Level, +2 Strength, +2 AC, +2 Saves, Immune to Fear, +2 Regeneration upon entering a Room.

OR!!!!

Turn in permanently complete Legendary Helm-Armor-Shield Set and receive a permanent Character Card of Koraf. That’s my 1st Ed D&D Krynn Minotaur I’ve been playing for 30 years+ now. He’s awesome and only I can get to play him.

I'm surprised you're not wanting to have the Elixir of Life effect once per room and a free Wish per room, and 3 extra treasure chips for each Legendary equipped. You're aiming too low! ;)

Ahhhh... sarcasm... my old friend... I recognize you well.
