TOPIC: Token Transmuter App

I am curious. Jenny wanted me to write an app for her to keep track of all the ingredients she needed for all the transmutes she had planned. Mostly just to tally everything up. Below are some screen shots:

First is the screen to add Transmutes to the list. As you scroll through the list of transmutes, the recipe is listed below. Simply Add or Subtract as needed.



The next screen shows the list of all the ingredients and scrolls up or down as needed.



Finally, there is a screen showing the list of transmutes planned. Select the target, and tap Ship, and the transmute and ingredients are subtracted off, and the last page shows the ingredient list for the target transmute to ship. This page is printable, so you can verify everything is collected. This sheet does NOT replace the forms from the TD website, but just allows for prep.



So, now the question. It does take some work and hassle to launch a new app on iTunes, so I am curious if there is much interest in making this app available. if not, it still works for Jenny, but if enough people have an interest, I will launch it sometime in March.

Be worth the $5 to keep track of what goods i'm missing when i go through boxes. Currently using a excel sheet now. On a hypothetical feature wish list would a export be available?

Right now it is an IOS app. If there is enough interest, it could be ported to Android.

I start with IOS for 2 reasons. One is that it is easier to code, at least for me. Second is that for the Character Generator, has about 50% more downloads on IOS each year than it does on Android. If it doesn't see much use on IOS, the probability is less on Android.

The plan is for IOS to be a free app, but if I do an Android app, I have to pay a fee for every app on Google Play, so we will have to see on that. It would either be free or $0.99.

Does the app allow you to check off which ingredients you have acquired and then show the remaining ones you still need?

This looks great to me.

I hope Ed' suggestion is an option, would be nice to have a plan and know what to seek out, etc.

Also +1 for android. Definitely worth my $0.99, or more.

This is not a bad idea, but input is the problem. Tracking the inventory would not be that bad, but how do you input what you have. +/- buttons work for some things, but Gold can be anything from 50 to 200,000. Do we add a screen to input a number for inventory? Lots of checking to make sure it is a valid number. I will have to think on that for a while.

I'd happily pay a buck for this app.

I think you can make input boxes that only accept numbers.

But maybe don't worry about errors too much. If someone inputs they have "l33t" gold pieces, they deserve whatever happens to them

I actually wrote one in C# for my personal use, but never fleshed it out much... not user friendly.

Would be much nicer on iOS...
