TOPIC: Supreme Orb of Dragonkind

My inner Collect-all-dragon-things is like, "Take all of my money!"

However, the rational thinking brain that (usually) overcomes that part of me is all, "Heh, nope."

While I will never be at an $8K buying level, I think this is a really cool idea. I can only hope to find one in a secondary market somewhere at a cost that I can afford

It's already hard to justify the amount of money I put into tokens per year for just a couple of hours of play.

you are off by about $24K

I think he was referring to the cost to get 8 to transmute the Supreme Orb vs the Grand Orb. One takes 8 the other takes 5.

Meh.

Great for the big buyers who help make everything possible, but it's another thing I have no chance of acquiring.

I dunno I figure it should be less than a Wish Ring. The only reason those go for $300 is the gold value they have in the creation of Legendary tokens. So I am making a wild guess that the secondary market will something between $100 and $300.

Or maybe I am just wishful thinking. I am hoping to get one from the secondary market.

I am guessing this is the

☐____ of ____ (____) (?) that can be found in the 2016 Quick Token Reference Guide.
Orb of Dragonkind (Wyrmkin)

That still leaves

☐+_ ____ ____ of ____ ____ (?)

Hmmmmm.....

Hmm, it will be interesting to see. One difference is that Wish Rings are the same year after year, where these are different each year. And Wish Rings have a max price of about $300 because of the GP equivalent.

This will be different each year and some people will try to collect all eight of them, where very few people have ever collected eight wish rings IMO.

It really comes down to how many people choose to collect them. Perhaps most people don't bother and then the price will be pretty low, but if everybody wants to collect them it will really drive the price up since there really aren't going to be very many of them.

Then, when you transmute the Orbs, you get them back. The numbers make it impossible to use an orb in more than one transmutation. I'm ok with the orbs having zero power individually.

But, that way I would only have to collect 13 instead of 21 to have a whole set.

@Mike - PYPs are already too low. I cut my order in half last year versus previous years because of it. If they go lower, I may get out of buying onyx altogether. But I'm sure others will get in. Hard to say where it would shake out.

Brad, in general I'd say current PYP prices aren't too low because there are several people selling them at those prices. If this adds another $200 value, that could mean another $5 off per PYP, or maybe additional people buying the $8k package and selling PYPs. The option to buy 16 WYC tickets also adds value. I don't know if it will affect prices, it will be interesting to see if it does. :)

I am wondering why the increase in the ability to buy tickets. Last year it was 8 tickets for a 8k order. Which is the same rate as 2 tickets at the 2k order.

Good points. The fact that they are supposed to be geeky fun and not uber-power might also keep though lower, where a Wish Ring is powerful in either granting a Wish or turning into the $300 worth of gold toward a Legendary token.

Impossible to see the future is. We shall have to wait and see. I look forward to seeing what yourself and the other big buyer re-sellers price them at and if they move. I am interesting in acquiring one, but my interest obviously is tied to price.

I will probably end up doing a forum auction for one once I have some in-hand since we have no idea what they might be worth...

I mean $1000 might be too cheap or $100 might be too much for all we know.
