TOPIC: End-of Adventure Treasure pulls

It would be awesome for maybe 2 total orange tokens to be included, one for each end for the con.

The year of great treasure: my wife, Stacey, and I had just played grind. Stacey and I were getting ready for a run and cat(wife) ran off to get her one treasure. This was Thursday, before we knew about the bonus treasure. Wife comes back with greater cloak relic and a questioning look...she knew she got something good when my jaw dropped.

But my best pull was back in 2007: I would equip the whole party of local friends and many of them gave me all the treasure. It was often hectic and we barely had time to look at it. One night I was sorting the days treasure and saw purple text...COOL! Wait, what is a 'rod of seven parts seg 1'? This was the first year of the rod and they wouldn't be mailed until after gencon, and it wasn't even announced. So, as far as I knew, this was an insanely rare token. I saw Jeff the next day and asked him about it; he just smiled and shrugged and told me 'I guess you'll have to figure it out.'

How about a token that replaces all but the Relic and GP requirements for a Legendary?

That still seems excessive. It might be good to keep Legendary tokens exclusively as part of the transmutation process to encourage token sales.

I'm kind of uncomfortable making recommendations based on what may or may not be good for Jeff.

And I'm less concerned about people being encouraged to buy tokens than I am about avoiding ticking people off. If I put all the time and money into making an OJ and then watched someone pull one for free, especially a newbie that said "what's this?" I'd be upset.

In some ways, that's the same thing.

But I will say, the stuff that shows up in the treasure boxes is already pretty generous. The 25k GP bar is normally at least a third to a half of the expense to make an OJ.

Does OJ = Legendary?
If so, I don't understand how that initialism relates to the word.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

I do think it would be cool to have one really cool token in the treasure pool each year. Perhaps it is a MCoF or a HoP or a CoA or something like that, I'm not going to propose what it should be. I just think it would be neat knowing it is out there. I suppose normally there is perhaps only a single 25k GP bar so that kind of counts already.

I don't think it should be a Legendary, if only because the orange token backing will make it easy to spot.

IIRC correctly there were two 25K gp tokens in the bins last year.

Thats pretty special, I'd say.

I pulled one of the 25K GP last year and a 10K GP.
