TOPIC: Ring of Heroism Ingredient Inquiry

I hope not considering how much we all argued back and forth to nail that one down and how now that it's underway there will already be people saving towards that pattern that would feel more then a little jerked around if it were changed. Remember while the ring may seem cheap to us or even cheap relative to the charm a fleece,argonite,and three year commitment is an epic quest to most players.

Maybe I missed it, but is there any more information on the Rod of Seven Parts which we will be able to make long before the Ring of Heroism?

None that we know of yet other then that it is said to be most awesome.

Seriously though the only reason we know about the ring of heroism this early is because it was originally slated for release this year, that changed during the design process but Jeff wanted to get the recipe hammered out so people could start working towards it due to the multi-year nature of the components.

If this are the required components, I need to start searching for someone to trade or sell a volunteer token for 2013.

It will be much cheaper to go with two different participation tokens than it would be to use the Volunteer tokens. I'd gladly trade multiple participation tokens plus stuff for the volunteer token of anyone that was thinking of using it in the recipe for the Ring of Heroism

I doubt many volunteer tokens will get turned in. The requirement is any combination of 3 years worth of participation tokens (so the iounstone/belt this year) OR a volunteer tokens.

So you could make the ring with

2013 participation token pair (red or green doesn't matter which)
2014 participation token pair
2015 participation token pair

or

2013 volenteer token
2014 volenteer token
2015 volenteer token

or

2013 volenteer token
2014 participation token pair
2015 participation token pair

or any other combination as long as each year had either a pair of participation tokens or the volunteer token

The or a volunteer token part was added more as a tip of the hat to volunteers then a path anyone is actually expected to take. From the trade forms it looks like you can pick up this years green quality completion tokens for about $3 each vs $80+ for the part time volunteer token. So ya not much a of choice really unless you have money to burn, in which case we should talk XD

The way the recipe is written I don't think your third option will work. I think it has to be either all participation tokens or all volunteer tokens, it doesn't seem to give the option of mixing the two.

Ohh perfect then I have 3 plant belts, good to know before I had gone ahead and traded them for some ingredient.

Still might need to trade one of them for the Ioun Stone Emerald Pyramid, I believe you need the pair from each year.

Please note where it specifies different participation/completion tokens must be used.

• 1× Rare ring (it can be any ring, as long as it’s Rare)
• 1× Alchemist’s Ink
• 1× Alchemist’s Parchment
• 1× Aragonite
• 1× Darkwood Plank
• 1× Dwarven Steel
• 1× Elven Bismuth
• 1× Enchanter’s Munition
• 1× Golden Fleece
• 1× Minotaur Hide
• 1× Mystic Silk
• 1× Philosopher’s Stone
• the equivalent of 1,000 GP

Plus either (not both) of these options:

• 6× different Completion Tokens from at least three different years. You may not use more than two from the same year and all must be from 2013 or later.

*OR*

3× different Volunteer Tokens from three different years. You may not use more than one from the same year and all must be from 2013 or later.
