Which has taught me that, while it's nice, ubergear is seriously overrated.

In 11 years of playing, multiple runs every year, using HoP and RoR since they were available, and running with a group which tends to max its treasure stamps every year, I only got my first UR pull from the treasure chest last year.

This year, I pulled another UR.

I'm happy though: Over the years I have pulled many ingredients and enough treasure to share, and I have many dungeon completion tokens. My fun in TD is not dependent on the treasure. (That said, I will probably still run with my HoP and RoR most of the time!)

In 11 years of playing, with Horns of Plenty and Rings of Riches as soon as they were available, my entire group didn't pull a single UR between 2004 and 2010 (we played in 2003 but there were no token pulls in 2003), and we pulled one each the years of 2011 and 2012. I still suspect part of the problem in those early years was that it was pretty easy to look into the boxes as you were pulling, and I think a lot of people cherry-picked the good tokens. I'm glad the token boxes are designed better now.

Like Raven, even without getting UR's, we were happy doing our pulls. Even without URs, it is still a lot of free tokens

Probably about 50 pulls. 1 UR gloves of dexterity, 1 ammo of alteration, did get 1 of each monster bit and about 4 thorns. PUlls about half from each box.

Most of the fun was seeing brand new players pull things like Rings of Heroism out of the box and explaining what the tokens were. I think it helped get a few more hooked on coming back next year.

Had around 25 total pulls thanks to Mike gearing me up for that one run . Pulled some decent rares and a greater cloak of destiny. Definitely looking forward to next year and plan to purchase what I can afford so that I can not be such a much gear-wise.
