My Group will be using 9 Rings and 1 Pair of Boots.....Because somebody walked off with our 10th Ring. This is what we used last year to deal with the cold and it worked out well enough.

I'm just going to play a Monk. I'm guessing i can't drop my fist or a bracer.

I could be wrong but that could be a bad assumption. It does say your hands will be too cold to do ANYthing other than warm them up, not allowing any other action the next round.

While I might agree that warming them up by smacking someone in the face should be a viable option I suspect the nature of the rule here is for you to loose your action even if it doesn't require actually dropping a weapon.

"It will take them one round to regain the use of any weapon as well as their hands, so any slide of 1–10 means the character loses one round of action. "
