TOPIC: Which of these are worth anything?

I played TD for a bunch of years, but it's pretty much lost its novelty and I'm getting out.  I have a bunch of tokens and want to sell the good ones, but I don't want to waste my time trying to sell ones that nobody wants.  The only problem is that most of the price guides I've found online either aren't up-to-date, aren't complete, or don't list the tokens by year (and word on the street is that older, OOP tokens are worth more).  I've culled my collection for the most promising ones, so I'd appreciate it if people could:<br /><br />A) Steer me in the direction of a comprehensive guide, or failing that<br /> Tell me which of these I should try to sell, and if possible,<br />C) Give me an estimate of how much some of them are worth (if you know)<br /><br />Wooden Tokens:<br />2003 - Special????<br />2004 - Ring of Regeneration<br />2005b - Potion of Darkvision, Scroll of Keen Edge, Thunderstone, 50 GP<br />2005 Ultra Rare - Scroll of Fly<br />2006 - Cloak of Elvenkind, Ring of Fire Resistance, Scroll of Blink, +1 Great Axe<br /><br />Plastic Tokens:<br />2007 - Amulet of Thorns, Wand of Frost, +2 Cloak of Resistance, Ring of Iron Will, +1 Ring of Protection, Ring of the Eye, Scroll of Keen Edge, +1 Long Sword<br />2008 - Ioun Stone of Faceted Amber<br />2010 - Dragon Tooth Amulet, +2 Bolt, Flask of Conflagration, Chain Devil Ichor, Minotaur Horn<br />No Idea - Feedback Loop<br /><br />Any help is greatly appreciated!<br />

Incog is right, as usual. By posting here, the buyers will find you. Talk to multiple people by PM before you make a sell decision and of course when in doubt, selling on Ebay is an option. You can also do an online auction in this forum. Hard to get ripped those ways.

You should probably put the Ring of Regeneration up on e-bay.  That item will probably fetch a very nice chunk of change.

<br /><br />I bought one for $120 a few years ago.  My guess would be in the $50-$80 catagory now.  Definitely E-bay.

Another thing to bear in mind is timing (and some cyclic nature of the market).<br /><br />The Ring of Fire Resistance hit an all-time high this summer thanks to the Smoak adventure but since the end of GenCon, it's plummeted back down to the value of a normal Rare.<br /><br />The +1 Ring of Protection has been steadily increasing in value and the +2 Cloak of Resistance has gradually become a chase rare over the past few years. Except within the past month it's been confirmed that these two will be reprinted for 2011 (which will likely return their price levels to normal). The best time to sell these would have been a few months ago. But there's a good chance that non-forumites aren't aware these will be reprinted (so unload them on to eBay ASAP).<br /><br />The Ring of Iron Will (along with the Ring of Fortitude and especially the Ring of Reflexes this year) have been steadily increasing in value. But I imagine this trio will probably be reprinted in the next few years.<br /><br />Ingredients (Chain Devil Ichor and Minotaur Horn) seem to reach their premiums right after GenCon (which would have been the ideal time to sell). You can still get a reasonable amount now on eBay (assuming it hasn't been glutted yet).<br /><br />From my experience, the Dragon Tooth Amulet isn't really as valuable as many people think it is. It seems to be command a reasonable amount on eBay ($50 or so). But I've found it maddeningly difficult to trade away any on the forums. Seems like the 4C combo item was a lot easier to make than in years past (i.e. Medallion of Greyhawk).

Thank you, everybody, for your feedback and advice.  I have gotten quite a few messages from people since posting the list, so I guess I need to decide if I should sell individually, have an online auction, or go to eBay.<br /><br />Are there any particular rules for having an auction here?  Where you post, length of time, payment method, etc?

The only rule is if you manage to scam someone and rip them off, be sure to come back at least once to gloat insultingly about it. We can use the drama lama now that tokens design is done.
