TOPIC: Token proxy's

Token proxy's 13 years 8 months ago #1

OK so I have a few diffrent UR weapons I have that I want the party to be able to use, but I really dont wanna hand them out to people I dont know, not that I am saying they would take them, but people can forget or just leave them somewhere. Is it allowed if you have the tokens on you to make proxys from the pictures of the tokens and glue them onto another common token and use that?

This question seems to come up a fair amount. I'm looking to see if there has been an official answer but I don't think so. I believe this is all handeled on a case by case basis.<br /><br /> truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=6169.0 <br />

I have a mortal fear of losing my artifact +2 Mithral Dancing Long Sword.  I haven't decided how I will use it yet, but vigilence is probably the best course.  I thought about using another +1 long sword to slide and just up the damage by 1, but I don't know quite yet.  I would like to keep it in the spiffy holder Jeff gave me, but I cant do that and slide it.  If I do take it out of the holder and slide it, I don't want anyone to slide it back to me after a round, or mess with it etc.  Even though I am usually with friends, I would hate to have a friend or DM accidently drop it on the floor in the dark.

<br /><br />I was thinking about bringing some of that putty used to tack posters on walls.  A little pea of that should stick the token in the puck.

Magnetic pucks would hold the tokens well :)

<br />The south pole of the magenet is facing down. Underneath the "20" is a magnet where the south pole is facing up. I can see it now --> "Boy what a tough dragon, none of us could hit the 20!"

That would be seriously amusing to watch, it would be like having invisible bumpers.

We just have to ask Jeff to print the Artifact tokens on glow-in-the-dark backs, so they're easy to find if they fall on the floor.  And it's not like someone else could claim to own the glow-in-the-dark token he just slid in his pocket.

Anyone trying that stunt would be lucky to get out of the dungeon alive (and I'm not referring to his character here).

<br /><br />I wish I could get all my tokens with [glow=limegreen,2,300]GITD backs[/glow]. Mostly because I love anything that glows. But additionally, how many times to tokens drop on the floor and disappear on that aforementioned token camouflage carpeting? At least once a run? How much time would be saved and how many heart attacks would be averted if tokens were easy to find in the dark?<br /><br /><br />I know it'll never happen, but I can dream, can't I?
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
