As much as I would like to do another order and put in $250 so I can get the Ring of elemental command fire I don't think I can afford it.

How would people feel about this proposal? I've been thinking about how to do this micro guild buying in an equitable manner, and I think the follow sums up what I think is fair. Thoughts?

Buy into the Micro Buyers Guild!

We will take two weeks to try to gather the support for our next Guild Purchase. If we hit $250 by the end of the two weeks, we will buy a 30 pack. If we hit $1,000, we'll buy a 120 pack. If we...well, you get the idea.

If we don't hit at least $250, we won't purchase anything. We will release everyone from their obligations and try to gather support again.

For $8.33 you will get one pack of tokens and one entry into a random drawing for the purple (if we get $250) or the Rod, the purples, and the modules (if we get $1K) or...you get the idea. If you are lucky enough to win a purple, you will get to choose what that purple is. If you buy $250, you will not be guaranteed a purple - but you'll get a whole bunch of names into the drawing. Once someone has won, they can't win again for that Guild Purchase.

Once you've stated you want to make a purchase, you are obligated to carry through with that purchase unless we fail to reach at least $250. You must be ready to pay for your obligation plus shipping (between $5 and $10) on the purchase date. A personal transfer from PayPal is the preferred payment method, but a money order will also do. Backing out on a purchase obligation will get you cursed with the Wish of De-Enhancement and will get you banned from the Guild.

Our next purchase date is: June 28
And we currently have obligations for: $0

Buy your single packs through us and get a 3% chance at a purple - three times the chance of getting a 00 bag. And you possibly could get a shot at the Rod! Become obligated to the Micro Buyers Guild today!
We will release everyone from their obligations and try to gather support again.

I like this part. I think we will see a lot more people get involved once our first order is received by all the members. Even $50 is a significant amount of money today, and a lot of people are untrusting in this economy.

If you buy $250, why not just do it as an individual. No shipping cost and guaranteed a purp. Instead make a maximum amount that can be purchased through the guild. Say a maximum of 200, anything more is no longer a "micro buyer".

This part sounds good.
I still believe in the idea of a depository of tokens for Guild members to easily trade. Whether it is a Guild thing, or a Molda thing, I will start off the donations with a pledge of 2 (unopened) ten packs, that is ten percent (rounded down) of my purchase, to the Guild Treasury.
Trading will be limited to active Guild members. An active member is one who has bought through the Guild during the current token season.
Trading also requires the donation of at least one (unopened) ten pack, and the number of trades allowed is limited to the number donated.
The options of like for like trades will be done in a rotating manner, with a short period for decisions.
All shipping costs are to be borne by the trader, or a gencon delivery option is available.
I will begin the Treasury when my tokens are delivered and randomly choose the ten packs to donate.
Anyone else who wants to participate should decide by then.

This is so generous of you Molda! I look forward to trading for some tokens from the Guild. I have some good rares to trade as well.

Please open the packs though and take out any golden tickets or URs before you actually donate them, okay? :)

I do like these ideas and guidelines but I think the highlighted part will cut down on our overall buying power. But since we are still working out the actual buying process, I can go along with these ideas on this buy, especially since there are still six GTs to be had and they will be gone before we know it!
So I will chip in my next week's allowance and buy 3 packs.

Our next purchase date is: June 28
And we currently have obligations for: $25.00
