A few things to note about the 2005 tokens:

There are several removed tokens from each rarity group.

Removed from the commons -

GOLD 3, 4, 6, 7, 9.
Gems: 5gp Crystal, 10gp Citrine
Bone Map Case
Detect Poison Scroll
Detect Secret Doors Scroll

Removed from the Rares -

GOLD 11, 12, 13, 14.
Gems 20gp Azurite and Agate, 25gp Malachite, 30gp Obsidian.

CHANGED RARES -
The potion of Cure Lt wounds is now a Scroll of Cure Lt wounds (divine)!!!

Removed from the Very Rares -

GOLD 20.
Wondrous Hourglass of Answers

NOW added to Commons + Rares + Very Rares
Weapons - and armor!!!

Very Rares also get a nice big 200gp peridot gem added!

All the specials are missing (no surprise - but I wonder what happens if one turns up at INDY???)
Also Rumors are not on the list - but I imagine (hope) they still exist???

So I would guess that indeed there will be less gold per bag - and many weapons floating around for trade.

Someone feel free to double check me here - it is late and I have been rolling for treasure kits for the past 4 hours (just kidding).

I love the new breakdown of treasure, but I was wondering one thing. Not sure if this is the place to ask, but here it goes

Was the Hourglass of Answers supposed to be taken after it was used? Our DM was not sure, and I was going to ask on the way out but never got around to it. He took it just in case.

Yep...it is a one-shot magic item.

Regarding Rumors and Specials that are still floating around...they still work! So bring them along and see what happens. Just remember that rumors aren't always true, and that "Specials" can be for good or ill.

Can't. Don't get paid until the 1st, and my paycheck is eaten up in bills. :/

I will order some though, prior to the Con.

The REALITY of it all!

I would not fret too much - it appears that many tokens will be floating about and easier to get your hands on than past runs.

The big difference is gold - try rolling up 10 bags at random and see how many weapons you get comparred to gold.

My thought with that is perhaps weapons will be sell-able to the blacksmith for much needed funds. I plan on spending much time doing just that if my guess is right - and if there is a buy-sell differential - look out - I will park my cart close by and help those who need arms or poitions or whatever.

Both the blacksmith shop and the magic shop will buy as well as sell. We are going to handle them like the trdaing wench last year. We needed to split the tradingto other areas and to multiple locations thanks to all the gray hair the players caused me last year in frenzied trading. The blacksmith will handle the weapons armour and adventuring gear, the magic shop will handle the rest. Each might have some of the others 'merch' to sell as it will take us some time to swap tokens back and forth during the course of the day.

As for the gold and gems removed from the token runs, how do you think I afforded to but a larger Tavern? Hhhmmm? ;)

Thanks Jenn,

So will there be a standard pricing table for trades with the smithy or mage guilder? OR will the all powerful HAGGLE take place? Will there be a buy/sell differential?

I sure see a great advantage for players once their personal armoury is stocked - to sell excess goods for gold or other needed items.

I can't wait. WHOO HOO (sorry just so excited.)

Excellent idea! And with the extra time players will have in the tavern, I think this'll work out better for everyone.

Gary,
You never know, there might be established trading prices for "sanctioned" vendors. I would expect them to buy low and sell a little higher as in D&D, I would expect some may welcome haggling.

But for the real deal you might want to talk to the cloaked figure with the sack in the corner that seems to be far to small for all the items he seems to be trading for.... "Psst, hey buddy, have I got a deal for you..."

Just some thoughts,

Dave
