TOPIC: New forum look on mobile

Among the forum changes I noticed this morning, I think I spy a bug. When viewing recent posts, each thread mentions who posted last twice. The first time it also says when the last post was entered, the second instance does not.

It might be nice to drop the second one, or change it to say who started the thread instead. I'd probably vote for dropping it in favor of less scrolling.


Also, thank you for making the interface for adding links on mobile so much nicer!

I agree that it is nice to finally have a time for when the most recent post was made, but if you completely remove the 2nd 'last post by...' we lose the different-color band that separates posts. Without that color band, everything would blend together.

I would like to see the titles of posts made bold so they stand out a bit more.

Oh, also, the forum menu (all, recent topics, new topic...) appears as a giant ugly gray box in the middle of my screen when i open the forums. Probably dont want to hide it away completely, but it is very big and clashes with the rest of the page.

On my iPad, avatars now have a white border around them. The new messages text is very awkwardly placed. In the case of very long thread titles they are underneath, but partially overlapping the title. In the case of short titles they are so high that they are almost in the box for the thread above. I'm finding it difficult to hit new messages. I usually get sent to the first message in the thread

Edit: not difficult, impossible. The new messages feature is not working for me at all.

I am finding it very difficult to find the new topics. I was just going to post that and website issues when I found this thread. It looks like there are new topics under all things treasure But I can’t see any of the posts which have the word new next to them

To fight spam, we had to upgrade some software which screwed up the formatting. We will get this all tweaked over the next day or so. Thanks for your patience. And keep posting your feedback...the web dudes are listening.

Not a big deal but I prefer the square, no-boarder avatars.

Im getting emails every time someone post on a topic I posted on today. I don’t know if it’s auto subscribing me to the topics or what.

Just tested. I unsubscribed from a topic, then posted to the topic and was auto subscribed to the topic again.

Go to Preferences>Forum Settings>Select subscription as default>No>Save

I just did that.

Yeah, I saw the checked box on my reply and went "what is this?" then changed the setting.

I don't love the brown color for the "(1 New)" alert under recent topic. It blends into the background much more than the red color did.

I would like a space between private messages and preferences if possible as well.

If not, I could learn to live with it.

The white border on that avatars is interesting.
