The code for N1 now works correctly and is all spiffy.

I wanted to check, was there more xp given out for the GT run or anything like that this year? I know in the past sometimes there's been xp boosts passed out as prizes. The reason I'm asking is the top players list seems to have changed. If you account for the fact that some people haven't gotten around to entering their XP from gencon yet, I seem to have slid back a place. I used to be right behind george at #7, but Kurt seems to have moved up there instead.

Will it be correct if my total goes down 2000?

There was an 'issue' where we were getting XP for both Origins N1 and gencon N1. It looks like it was fixed on the individual event XP list, but is still adding to the total.

I can confirm what Kurt wrote. My total says 22K at the top of the page, but if I add up all my 'XP towards total' it is only 21K. The Origins N1 XP no longer figures into the 'XP towards total' column itself.

I think it only recalculates your total XP when you enter new codes. That is my guess anyway.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

There seems to be a lotta small xp snafus and I'm sure they'll get around to putting everything aright eventually. I didn't hear about what the GT runs got this year as far as rewards so I figured xp was a possibility. I've said for a while that the only way those of us in the top 10 move up at this stage is if someone dies and I know George would feel wrong without my death glare hot on his heels.

I’m not sure when or how it happened but I added my XP up and it adds to 2k more than reported. Sorry if it was not caused by N1 for posting in the wrong thread.

I think the issue has to do with WHEN your total is calculated. My speculation is that the individual runs are calculated by a different function than the total xp. So, when they fixed the the N1 xp issue, it fixed our individual event totals (ie. Only 1 N1 has xp listed now), but the 'total xp' function isnt called unless you enter new xp in the system...so that hasnt corrected itself yet.

If i am correct, the next time we enter xp, our total will be fixed. Not knowing the details of how the system works, i cant be sure if it needs to be a new dungeon/truly add xp, or if any new entry (running N-series dungeons again) will trigger the recalculation.

N series retriggered a reduction for me. Adding in another N series did not result in a fix.

Hey folks!

Kurt and Jeff are correct - XP is currently only recalculated when a new code is entered, so the recent fixes to XP are not being reflected everywhere across the website. I've spoken to our developer for this site and he says everything should be sorted now. I'm assuming that means that all players' XP has been recalculated, but I'll update you all as soon as I get that clarification.

I'm working with our developer now to overhaul the backend, which was designed in the days when we only had one event a year. The new system should make more sense from a coding standpoint and be much easier to maintain - and easier to foresee potential problems. Thank you for your patience!

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

Thanks Mike! Mine is perfect now. My "TDC: Beneath Castle Altus" even reappeared (no longer being zeroed out).

Great! Glad to hear it. :)
He’ll be working on some related issues this weekend, so if anyone’s *hasn’t* changed yet it should be recalculated by Monday morning. Thanks again!
