TOPIC: privileged information about tokens and fairness

Just noticed the item for sale too.... I wish there was a way for TPTB to be able to deal with a situation like this. Since there really isn't it leaves it up to the community and from now on I suggest that we really think twice before purchasing anything from a seller that is willing to do this.

I’ve always thought it was sleazy to lobby to reprint a token while trying to dump it for triple-PYP price, but I agree, this is worse.

This is the wrong time of year to buy OOP URs. I’d counsel everyone, don’t pay more than $100 for any UR until the draft 2019 collection comes out.

NOTE: that’s not the only token he should take down

I was thinking exactly about the conflict of interest, in part because two things I'm looking for would be affected by current plans and something I was thinking of selling recently might be affected as well. Just figure policing things is mostly on the community, though could theoretically ban someone from certain forums, difficulty depends on the functionality available to admins.

Definitely a messy time of year when you consider the looming deadline for previous year tokens. Maybe a public service announcement on the forums each year would remind everyone that info is unbalanced for a time.

Yes. First draft of the 2019 tokens is being discussed in the Lords and Ladies section (access granted at level 5 XP).

Suggestion: Maybe when this list gets posted there should be a public post that it’s out there, and buy at your own risk?

It is still under draft review. They post them there a few days for the veterans (5th level player and up I believe) for feedback before posting them to the entire forums. I think they will be posted Soon^TM for everyone.
