The question is would he want to? Having three artifacts would require giving up 3 wish rings besides the other high powered tokens he's have to sacrifice in order to make the artifact and the potential of three curses.

I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea if it was only one artifact per person, but Jeff would need to come out and say that. Also, has Jeff mentioned if he's still going with the idea of having the auction on Saturday? I really like having it on Sunday.

in regards to aquiring more than 1 artifact, i'm probably not the only one in the running. there is still a lot of gold floating around. if i remember correctly from the auction last year, 2 folks dropped out in the 60k-ish range. another point brought up was the stacking of the curses. this may make multiple artifacts an unworkable endeavor. as for the auction being on saturday....i think that is still the plan. jeff has mentioned having something special planned on sunday for the volunteers. if the auction is on saturday, i'll be doing all my runs on thursday/friday. i just can't miss the auction.  whatever jeff decides, i hope we know before events go on sale.  |

I think it makes sense story-wise for there to be a one soul-forged (soul-linked?) artifact per person. Smak, if you end up with a second that you can't use, I'll happily take it off your hands.  |

all kidding aside... who would like to have multiple artifacts for themselves? while having 1 is great, just imagine drawing a second on a run and not being able to fully utilize it. |

I'd love to have Multiple Artifacts (I doubt I'll ever have any, but we're talking in hypotheticals ). You get to pick the powers of each Artifact, I'd think you could pick the second artifact so that it complemented the first and didn't have any overlap. For instance, I'm sure if Gary got another Artifact and named it (for instance) Gearon's Girdle, with +4 to Strength, immunity to poison, petrification, etc., and maybe the ability to cast one third level Cleric spell per turn - that would be pretty cool. And he'd then have three Gearon items. Anyone else with more than one Artifact would hopefully do something similar. Each artifact could take the place of the best token in an existing slot, duplicate it's powers, and add some additional ones (like Gearon's Cloak does).  |
