Interesting how it got to my city, then went to St. Louis, then back to Springfield!

Crazy post office...maybe there's a Golden Ticket and it wanted to travel a bit!

Not too bad a routing.

I recently had an order (not TD) from CT that went to Boston then Honolulu and back to Dallas. 5 days for priority mail. Figure I should get frequent flyer miles for that package.

One of the benefits of living close to Carbondale, short turnaround times on orders. I have had packages from Indiana take 4 days to get to me.

But Dallas via Honolulu? Crazy.

You should see the crazy routes Royal Mail takes :(

I've an art order coming that sat in ICELAND for over a week now.

Now I'm just an old gamer :)

My GenCon badge is taking a rather odd trek to get to me too. I'm getting kind of worried.
I make chainmail! Check out www.ArcadianChain.com for chainmail jewelry and accessories, including token holders, dice bags, and d20 keychains.

Pretty sure the last trade I did sat 3 weeks in transit from Australia. So frankly I felt lucky.

Well, I discovered the root of my postal office weirdness.

My landlord (who lives upstairs in the same building) told my mail carrier that I had moved. Why? I have no idea. It should be pretty clear to my landlord that I'm still living right below him. The only thing that makes sense is that it must have been a communication error. Perhaps my landlord said something to the effect of I wasn't home at the time and the mail carrier took that to mean "this wasn't my home." I don't know.

In the meantime I think my GenCon badges are on their way back to Seattle and anything else important has been returned to sender as well. :( I put a hold on my mail though and told multiple people at the post office that I'll just pick it up myself. This is an irritation I do NOT need.

Sorry to hear that. I know from experience last year that if your badge gets accidentally returned to sender gencon will be of no help in getting it reshipped out regardless of the issue. You'll have to go through will call to get the entire package that was supposed to be delivered and need to have some form of ID that matches the name on the envelope. This caused some issues for my friend who had badges delivered for himself and his roommate and even though both badges were in the envelope they wanted the roommate who wasn't at gencon yet to be there since his name was on the package. He was able to get it but after jumping through some hoops at will call.

Yeah, waiting in Will Call is probably in my future. Three completely avoidable hours of wasted Con time. :(

My status says "left notice" on 7/15.

Never mind that I put my mail on hold from 7/14 to 7/19 while I'm out of town.
