Week 1 is in the books. I put a brief recap on the league site. Looking forward to this week and good luck to all.

I am sad I have to address this, but I guess I should.

I have received a trade offer today that was truly laughable. I just want to be clear. IF you offer awful trades and someone does happen to bite, I will just veto it. So don't waste anybodies time. In all my years I have vetoed one trade, but I will do it if needed. So stop fishing for suckers.

Nothing ruins a league, especially in its formative years, like an obviously lopsided trade that gives someone a championship.

Oh man, now I'm frantically thinking through all the trade offers I've sent out to make sure that wasn't me... :)

It isn't a good way to do business. You might get one killer trade in but you burn any future deals that way.

I personally look for what other people need and then see what I can get out of supplying that need for my best benefit.

For example, the week 1 trade between me and Stan, Stan needed a QB and I had Stafford (little did I know Stafford would do what he did). I was having bad vibes about Vinatari given the lack of Indy's offense so it was trying to get something of value out of Vinatari (Panthers defense), Stan wouldn't need Palmer if he got Stafford so that evened the deal out. I am presuming Stan was happy with the deal because he did the RB for WR deal a couple of weeks later. I suspect Stan "won" that deal but honestly I wasn't going to play Hyde anytime in the near future given what I knew then. (Now that Lynch had the collapse in Washington.....I would probably be starting Hyde now if I had him but obviously I don't)

Having said all that.....

WR's are available, make reasonable offers. Rudolph is also available for the right deal.

That is a fine way to go about things. Generally I won't say anything if I can see a reason that the trade would be made.

Sent out a couple emails to see if people were interesting in making some trades. Definitely want to step my team up a bit!

Hey Wade, didn't see any email come through.

Oh wait...that's because my team sucks and there is no one of value on it at this point.

But I will be SO ready for the Toilet Bowl.
