TOPIC: Very large font source?

Hello everyone.
I need to find out how to place large [VERY LARGE] letters on a picture to put on the front of a handbook for the game that inspired my novel A VIEW FROM THE SANDS.
I wanted to do this myself instead of referring it to an artist but I am lost about finding a font large enough or how to reduce the pic small enough so a standard font will work and then enlarging the entire thing again to be placed onto the front of an 8.5 X 11 inch book front.
Anyone have any ideas, sources, suggestions, or pointers.

First up dont reduce the size of rhe picture, it will loose you resolution and the final pri t will come out muddy.

To the font the easiest way to do it is to track down some photo editing or page layout software. If you go the photoshop route you can convert the font to a vector and scale it indefinitely. If you go the typesetting route any decent pagelayout software should let you scale ttf fo ts beyond the normal max size of 72.
