TOPIC: Question

Question 6 years 1 week ago #1

How long can items stay in your cart before being returned to the general pool on the Gencon site. I don't remember and I can't find a link there about it.

I've run into an issue where I won't be around till later in the day on May 6th. The only internet access I will likely have will be a McDonald's free wifi. Not too willing to use the CC on that, but if I could slip them into my cart for a few hours it would be long enough to get home to complete the transactions.

2 hours IIRC but don't take my word for that. I would just use the free wifi to checkout. The Gen Con site has SSL so it should be safe.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

The cart isn’t processed the moment you hit submit. That’s when it goes into the queue. Depending on your luck, you might get processed instantly, or a couple of hours later. That’s when your checkout clock starts.

So you might have more time than you think, but that’s not a good thing. That also means more chances for people ahead of you to snap up what you wanted.

Rebeg asked about the cart, not the wish list. The process is:

1. Build wish list
2. Noon on events day, submit wish list
3. Wait a random amount of time in the queue for processing
4. Events you got are added to cart
5. You have 2 hours to check out for tickets in your cart
