TOPIC: Pax South Badge Activation not available yet!

Down to 25 days left and I am still unable to activate the badge I received in the mail over a week ago.

Does anyone know if this normal for Pax or are they running behind?

My badge they sent doesn't have my name on it... is that normal?

PAX badges (not the free TD badge) do not have names on them (even for VIPs and guests). You do not need to "activate" the badge to attend - the activation is an optional part of PAX and ties in with the app and contests on site. Basically, if you have a valid badge for that day, you are set to go.

Good to know, will keep sticker on badge and write my name in sharpie across the badge too.

I have not received a physical badge in the mail, but I do see my Volunteer badge under my account on the Tabletop Events site.

Did I need to register directly through the PAX site, or is the Volunteer badge my official badge?

Should I receive the badge in the mail, or pick up onsite?

If picked up on site, would I get it from PAX registration or TD?

Sorry for the litany of questions, but this is my first time attending a PAX event and I'm not used to their registration/ticketing system.

Typically TD gets your badge and gives it out at the Mandatory Training the night before everything starts. I haven't attended PAX South before either but I have volunteered at GenCon, Origins, and Gamehole and that's how it worked at those conventions.
