TOPIC: Patron Code Giveaway to Volunteers

I've got an extra Patron Code that I'm going to give away to one of our great TD Volunteers via a drawing.

To enter follow the instructions below before midnight Thursday April 19th Pacific time:

Make a post on this thread indicating each of the following that apply to you by quoting the lines below that are true for you:

1. Did volunteer for True Dungeon at Gamehole Con 2017 (last year): 2 entries
2. Will volunteer for True Dungeon at Origins Game Fair 2018: 2 entries
3. Will volunteer for True Dungeon at Gen Con 2018: 2 entries
4. Was a TD Volunteer for the first time at one of the above three presentations: 1 entry

Simply quote the above and delete all the rows that don't pertain to you, leaving those that do.


The grand prize is a 2018 Patron Code. There are runner up prizes of 3 Adventurer's Guild codes.

Winners will be determined by the following mechanism:

1. I will assign each entrant numbers within a range of 0-99, or 0-999 (depending on the number of entries). I will scale the numbers per entry to most closely match range of possible numbers: for example, if there are 22 entries, I will use the range of 0-99 and award 4 numbers per entry, leading to 88 out of 100 numbers being a assigned to a volunteer.

2. I will post either here or in a google doc the entry numbers assigned to each volunteer.

3. Starting on April 23rd we'll look at the last few digits of these stock market indices in the following order, and consider them a "die roll" - the first 4 die rolls matching an entrants number indicate that entrant has won one of the prizes.

Die #1: Closing price of the S&P 500
Die #2: Closing price of the NASDAQ composite index
Die #3: Closing price of the Russell 2000 Index

The winner on the earliest die that produces a match will be awarded the grand prize of a Patron Code. The next 3 winners will receive the Adventurer's Guild codes.

4. In the unlikely event that the procedure above has not produced winners for all prizes before Thursday April 26th, I reserve the right to use any pseudo random element I choose to select winners before the early registration begins.
