New XP rules update 6 years 10 months ago #1

We have just recently reached an agreement with Patrick Rothfuss and Gamehole Con to present our Gen Con adventures at Gamehole Con. Two dollars from every ticket will go to Worldbuilders, and we will be presenting "tweaked" versions of our two Gen Con adventures at GHC.

We will combine the best parts of the combat and puzzle versions of an adventure, add in a new room, and then form a new version of each adventure. We will simple title them something like "Dancing Among Stone - GHC" in the XP section.

XP: We will treat the adventures at GHC as if they occurred at Gen Con, so you can only get XP for an adventure at GHC if you did not record XP for that adventure at Gen Con. There is no longer any level restriction for non-Gen Con conventions.

Thanks for the update, I'm sure people will appreciate the second chance to catch up given the scarcity of tickets at gen con this year :)

Jeff, that sounds great. Is the XP window so that GENCON and all the conventions after that GENCON but before the next GENCON count as the same Dungeons?

None of them will stack will they, like they do now? Will the Max XP someone can earn in a year be the equivalent of two Nightmare / Hardcore Dungeons?

Also, how will you handle something like TDC for XP, where the Dungeons aren't the same?

Um, might I suggest that this policy take place immediately right after Origins?

Otherwise, Origins will allow XP that TDC did not....

Assuming that if you only ran normal at gencon you could run nightmare at GHC and get the higher XP value?

So TDC adds additional XP to your character over the XP from GENCON?

Example:
If I do two nightmare runs from different dungeon sides - I cap out on XP for the year.

But does going to TDC add additional XP to your character?

What does that matter? TDC had a different dungeon than Origins will have.

Question I have is TDC additional to the max amount of XP you can earn in a year? Which was two nightmare runs was max.

My thoughts exactly. This may take the pressure off some that want to max-out XP this year by doing so at Gen Con. This seems to fit within the parameters.
