So back to the topic. I'm not sure if Origins is still the 2nd largest gaming convention (after GenCon), but I think it is important for TD to have a great first year there and possibly bring Origins back to where it used to be. There are a huge number of gamers in the area and I don't think many of them have even heard of True Dungeon. It is too late to advertise at Buckeye Gamefest or even Ohayacon, but Marcon is in May and might be a god opportunity to at least let the local gaming community know that TD is coming to Origins. There is also the Columbus Area Board Gamers Society which I used to belong to. They meet several times a month and attract a sizable gathering at each gathering. ALL of the gaming companies reach out to them with new games. I think some outreach to them would go a long ways.

My 2 cents I don't see any problem with carrying and sharing tokens including TE within a group. As a coach I prefer to see them all at once rather than start recording and then have to go back and change numbers. I also don't have a problem with negotiating a split for the additional treasure pulls. I definitely don't approve of nor advocate loaning or renting them out.

Negotiating a split for additional treasure _is_ renting them out - the rental fee is the additional treasure remitted to the owner.

In earlier comments people were talking about "loaning" their tokens to people on runs in which they were not even on, sometimes multiple runs at the same time for money. That is what I understood the term renting to mean.
I can also see how you are using the term to apply to my post.
I guess I see it as a win win for both players rather than making them mules or ghosting a run. By allowing other players to participate and not allowing them to share their CoA it would penalize the players that have invested in those tokens. I acknowledge that you may still have a problem with the practice but that is why we're discussing it here.
Thanks for your input.

A $1500 CoA has an ROI of about .05 - in other words, it has to be used at least 20 times to recoup the investment.

I (obviously) don't see a problem with asking for some, even most of the loot in exchange for a FELLOW PARTY MEMBER borrowing it. Especially if I'm paying for part of their ticket.

Yes, them wearing it gives me the max (maybe two more chips). But if that was all I wanted, I could lend out CoGFs instead for a fraction of the investment.

I think there was a new thread started to carry on that conversation...

I want to buy my event tickets right when they go on sale on May 3 but this requires looking at all of the available times and planning ahead to coordinate runs with friends and make sure we get all of the tickets on the same runs we need, when will the tickets for event times be available to look at (obviously, they won't be available for purchase until May 3)? I can't see them yet.

Will the solutions to the puzzles be a little different than they were at Gen Con, to keep people on their toes even if they already saw the Gen Con riddle reveal? I understand if it won't be this year, maybe in the future when there is more time to plan or hopefully waiting to release the riddle reveal until the end of a run's convention season.

Yeah, I don't see the TD events on the event grid yet. Hopefully someone will announce when they are posted.

I just can't find an answer to these questions: how can I book a session with my friends?

1) Can I buy more than 1 ticket for an event?

2) If not, can I buy a ticket FOR someone else? They allow this a GenCon, but no one seems to know how this will work at Origins.

3) Will their system prevent me from buying a ticket that conflicts with another ticket? To be specific, I have a slot open from noon to 2 PM one day. True Dungeon begins at 12:01, so technically, it will end at 2:01. Does that mean the system will prevent me from registering for a non-TD event that begins at 2PM?

and, 4) Will a 2016 Adventurer's Guild pin allow me to drop my bag off somewhere for the day? Or is the space at Origins too small to allow this?

1) has not been possible in previous years for event registration at Origins. Who knows maybe this year will be different.

2) See 1).

3) good question.

4) TPTB would be the ones to address this.

Going to bump this since tickets go on sale tomorrow and it would be nice to know about 1 and 2. I know what edwin said about in the past but knowing about what happens tomorrow before tomorrow will be good for all.
