What a huge loss to the TD community. My prayers are with his family. Winner of a Ring of Focus (that is now a Relsa's Ring of Focus) at Raven's awesome pickpocketing event at TD Tavern in 2008.

One of my favorite memories of Chip was a group of us in a banquet room, as he told the story of how he was burgled and then helped with a sting to capture the thieves. The parts of that story that stuck with me were the phrase "halfling toe ring," because when do you ever hear those three words strung together, and his compassion for the female half of the much-less-than-A team who stole from him. I doubt I would have been as forgiving if I'd been in his shoes.

A great guy, and I'm sorry I didn't get to know him better.

Chip was easily one of the kindest, most generous people I've had the pleasure of getting to know. I had the privilege of getting to know him as a friend when we carpooled to GHC last fall and the adventures we had in and outside of the convention. What a terrible loss. This is heartbreaking.
