I do tend to get caught up talking to folks I suppose.

I was surprised by how much extra time there was.

There was very little board gaming going on, on Friday and Saturday (aside from the scheduled events at Champions).

And most of the time, the forumites I knew weren't around, so I was just sitting around.

The worst was the 3 hour delay on Saturday from the last run to True Horde due to the eeeevil trivia (which I did not participate in)! I had to sit around for 3 hours because of that. And then after True Horde completed at midnight, I drove home (5 hour drive). And to think that I could have left 3 hours earlier if it wasn't for that infernal trivia!

You mean the affirmation that Jeff wrote the questions and did you think like Jeff does for the answers? The event was amusing in that regard.

Maybe a suggestion for next year would be to have forum names printed onto badges? Help some of us still learning real life faces/names to online tags that we interact with more during the year.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I had to miss saturday, and Trivia was the thing I was most disappointed about losing out on.

To be fair, the majority of puzzle rooms in TD are pretty much "do you think like Jeff does?" :P

I was happy to have the three hour break. I was able to get some food and relax after my shift before doing True Horde.

I thought trivia was fun and amusing. Raven's team narrowly beat my team.
I was fairly surprised that every member of our group was needed. We each seemed to bring an answer only that person knew, yes there were plenty we all knew.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

Same here. Had a nice dinner and reworked my build for Horde.

I also sorted and packaged my new tokens :)
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Our team was the same way.....except for MasterEd I don't think he knew anything......that we didn't already know.

The important thing is that we succeeded in the goal I originally set out for out team. To beat Kirk's team! :woohoo:

Are we sure about that. Not certain which team got second and who tied us for third.

"Who's the Druid" was my team and we certainly got second place after Raven's team. No clue about everyone else, sorry. LOL

Trivia was one of my surprise favorite events at TDC.

We had a group like Valetutto described - each of us had at least one answer which no one else on the team knew, and our different interests covered a pretty wide swath of geekdom.

I'm honestly shocked that we won - but even if we didn't, we still all agreed we were having a blast.

Would definitely do again!

The only way i could have had more fun with it, is if we came down to a tie and the tie breaker clause fell in my favor...LOL

I did like how everyone would cheer when they got one right

For $2 it was a blast. I'd do it again.
