My $0.02:

It is just showing this year. The portal is showing us someone dancing among Stones with a skrael. The remainder has a forested maze nicely lit by the moon.

So it might not be a kenku but instead a raum? It is a fae being which I believe (piecing things together) a crow human something or the other.

" If their hair was all of silver-white, their glammourie could make it look as black as night." Interesting line from the story.


Adding more as I find it.

“It’s getting cold at night. Winter’s coming.” The innkeeper smiled. “I’m sure Martin will be flattered." - hmm I feel this is a reference ot GoT since George R. R. Martin edited the book this short story is in....but maybe I mistaken.


If there was anything else in The Lighting Tree, I completely missed it.

Best MMO ever! (Used to be, anyway, before ToA) Go Midgard!

Two years ago, I think, there was a graphic released with a mysterious creature. A lot of people thought it might be an Umber Hulk, but there wasn't one in the adventures.

Just saying that sometimes obvious spoilers aren't.
