I saw that but wasn't going to mention anything. I figured it is like when Jeff mentions there are only a few GT left. There will be a rush to buy badges meaning even more people....lol.

Well the dealer's hall is going to be even more insanely crowded this year. Not that there was any doubt about that already.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

I've pretty much given up on the dealer hall.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

If I'm not in the dungeon, I'm in the Dealer Hall.

GenCon has been close to the fire marshal capacity in the past.
This year with the big 50 it's going to be insane

I've been thinking that lately GC was outgrowing Indianapolis, but with the new venues like Lucas Oil Stadium, maybe it won't be so bad.

I wonder if they will be tougher on people without badges, if the venue sells out. If the limit is for safety issues, those 'ghosts' would push us well over the limit.

the hallways in the convention center count as public ways in Indy I believe.

I do think you're right tho, anyone with out a badge will be escorted out of any of the "private" areas.
That should include all rooms and the big halls. I don;t know about the oil stadium, but I'd say any area past those stairs leading down would be considered private access as well.
