TOPIC: Will I like True Grind?

Also worth noting that there is a pretty limited supply of Grind tickets. It is not always easy to get them.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Thanks for all of the replies so far, I had heard that True Grind was more than just a series of straight forward combats but its good to know that it is more than just that.

Is the goal just to see how far you can get through the waves of opponents?

You've gotten some good feed back so far.
Yes the goal is to see how far you can get, and on what difficulty level.

Grind IS the place to test your builds.

Spent some money on tokens?
Wonder if its time to try nightmare in the regular runs?
Give grind a try.

If you can beat grind on normal or hardcore you're ready for nightmare in the regular runs.
A 1.5 hr excursion with 30 mins of that prep time is all it takes.

If you're really in it for the sets and puzzles,..which is perfectly ok... I would just ask why you're building up your supply of tokens. If its to make your character stronger that typically only helps in combat. Why not get the most out of your token time and try grind.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

I have only played grind once, but had a great time doing it.

Honestly there was a time you hadn't tried TD before, and now you find yourself fond of it.

I think it's at least worth trying once.

Try it at least once. I think I've done two grind runs. If I had a choice between a Dungeon run and a grind, I would choose the dungeon.

I forgot one very important difference- there are no skill tests in Grind. Your spells do max. So if the only thing holding you back from trying a Wizard is memorizing the planes, for example, then try you can it in Grind without the added pressure of knowing where Fire is.

There are plenty of other things to worry about
