TOPIC: GHC Ticket Sales?

Anyone done a look to see how ticket sales have been going since the second dungeon and grind have been added?

Taking a quick look 135 of 600 tickets for Underdark Awaits have been sold. I don't think that's too bad and expect more of run when overall registration opens on Saturday.

32 of 100 Grind tickets have sold.

414 of 600 tickets for Deeperdark Redux have sold.

I think there are 1300 total tickets, and 575 of that have sold. I did real fast, real dirty math, so I don't trust the numbers to be shiny.

Yeah, I don't 100% trust my numbers either. I think my total came to 581, but I suspect we're both reasonably close. If you try downloading the event listing, it does not download # of tickets sold or available.

Registration is now open for all events. In general, there are plenty of TD options still open. However, if you want to run Deeperdark Redux on Saturday, you may want to snatch up those tickets soon. Plenty of options still available for everything else.

I just noticed that GHC is now using a grey background to highlight runs that are sold out. Makes it easier to scan through for the open runs.

They may have started this earlier, but I think I would have noticed it before. In the future they may consider a search option that filters out sold out events.

Preregistration ends on October 13. I wonder how much change in sales we might notice between now and then.

I think anyone traveling from out of state has likely already planned their schedule. I can only think of two reasons they may still purchase TD tickets.
1. They are volunteers waiting to see the volunteer schedule before seeing if they are even able to commit to a run. Although, we could see some ticket returns once that schedule comes out as well.
2. They didn't have enough funding to pay right now and are waiting for another paycheck or two before making their purchase.

The same reasons probably also hold for in-state attendees. Although, with in-state attendees there is some possibility (especailly local) for people to make a late decision on whether or not they'll attend the con at all.

How much more in sales might we still expect? Unless there are any new announcements that could entice players, I'm not sure we'll see a lot. Maybe a small uptick right before the deadline? After that, it will depend on whether we see walkups at the con. Did a lot of that happen at WYC?

In terms of announcements, I know a couple people in our group who said they were thinking of adding another run until they heard there was no xp being given out. I told them not to expect any change in that policy for GHC and it was still up in the air for the future.

This weekend being a holiday weekend it might not have been the best time to buy tickets for some. Idle speculation on my part, but I think we give them another week. There is likely to be some ticket purchases at GHC. That happened at GHC. As rumor spreads among those that don't know how cool TD is, but find out it is THE THING to do at GHC. At least that is what I have heard it is like. I was in So Cal for the first Gen Con there and heard rumbles on TD at that time, but I didn't have the funds (I was actually staying in a car in the parking garage funds were so tight, but that is another story.

Is True Dungeon at GHC doing that little free Dungeon they had at WYC last year? From what I heard, that was a big success and led a bunch of people to buy True Dungeon tickets after they had their free sample.
