In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

Well. Bugger. A very limited 'must-have' for strength types.
Blimey!

Yeah, I would have preferred a bump to DEX or CON, which would have affected all characters equally - well, +2 STR does affect all characters equally, but not all characters would benefit equally in practical terms. But I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, and the tokens look really kewl.

Yeah. The purple version is interesting, to be sure, but these alone aren't really making me jump for the chance to volunteer.

That said, I'm sure if I get one I'll keep it clutched tightly.

Well--they may not have universal appeal, but there will definitely be a market for them. I will happily buy (at least) one of each from any volunteers that don't want them.

(Seriously--shoot me a PM. :))

Just to address this quickly...

If I had to choose my dungeon crawl (or just interaction in the TD area) with either someone volunteering for a token or just because they want others to have as much fun as they do... I'd choose the latter.

And, because I don't want to start a fight, the quote above is from no one in particular.

And, finally, I am volunteering again this coming year... and, yes, I'd still do it for no swag. To me, the swag is just a bonus to giving others the joy of how much fun TD is.

I'll also offer to buy one of each, and I do play a str based character:)

I suspect this could be the start of the next few years of volunteer tokens, working through the stat bonus chart

I absolutely agree. I would be volunteering if the token was an onyx turkey leg (mmmm - turkey leg). The volunteer tokens are sweet swag, but they are not why I do this awesome volunteer thing.

volunteering is great fun, I love that at the con, TD would be top on my list if I were not already doing it elsewhere.

To answer your question is no. The Build Team is separate the Full-Time Volunteer let alone Part-Time Volunteer because Build Team is working toward your 4-days pass for Gen Con and it start on Monday to Wednesday. The Full-Time and Part-Time Volunteer start Wednesday with each entitle benefit for different volunteer function they put into it or get out it.

I will counter with the fact the build team puts in just as many hours, and this year they are required to work on Sunday as well. Full time volunteers get a pass and a hotel room, correct? Not sure how treating the Build Team as full time volunteers is a bad thing. I will wait until TPTB weigh in on this.
