TOPIC: Guess the date when first printing tokens sell out.

Guess the date when first printing tokens sell out. 18 years 11 months ago #13

I'd like to be able to buy real stuff with my TD gold and gems. For instance, you can buy the TD mug for US$20, or you can buy it for 2000 gold (Or whatever price is set).

As far as real treasure in the dungeon: You could have special tokens in the dungeon that can then be redeemed for something at the end of the adventure. They wouldn't have to be anything fancy or expensive--just something physical you could take home with you. It would be interesting to see how the group would deicide who gets it though...

To make splitting things up even more difficult - what if an item is held by a CHAR that dies - and is removed by death???...if that person could have been given an elixer and saved - but wasn't for some reason - they could be bitter and take the token and run...

It is a puzzling dilemma this unique treasure in the dungeon thing. I can see lots of gold and common items...but past that - it gets kinda hairy.

Koralk, Gary, - I had a similar thought tonight myself. It would be interesting to find "other redeemable treasure" items such as a free drink token, or a "buy one get one free" token for just about anything (drinks, token bags, tx to next years adventure).

It could be REALLY interesting if TD sponsors offered up goodies. A token that can be traded in for GenCon tx discounts, discounts at booths in the Con or even freebies.

HOWEVER, as you stated, that could get a bit hairy. In fact it could cause some players to think more about themselves than the party. (Not that a good rogue shouldn't do that. ;) Just ask RogueX, the first party-screwin' rogue who got he cool t-shirt.)
