TOPIC: Looking for Amulet, or Cloak +1 or +2

Dead thread now.

I have cloaks +1 for trade...did you see my list of wants?

I am looking for the Full plate and have somethings on Gary's want list so perhaps we can work out a 3-way trade.

A 3-way trade, interesting...fun stuff this trading.

Just completed one today so my list is now down to only 4 items:

Bracers of Defense
Elixer of Life
Bracers of Archery
Ring of Feather falls

Absolutely correct...we have some time.

But consider this...I have multiple +1 cloaks - maybe if you wear more than one...there you go! KIDDING

Actually I am all for trading now with people that want or need something and are not worried about - did I get a good deal???...I think not knowing the price/value and making a trade for items that fill out your want list is a bigger priority (and more fun) than making a few gold pieces in the deal.

Not saying this is any person in particular - just explaining why I might trade a +1 cloak for a +1 dagger - or whatever.

You are right. Depending on what class can use it, the +2 Cloak may be the most valueable token in the game.

I am trying to go for a maxed out Warrior with just a good of armor and weapons as I can find. So what did I get duplicates of, Cloak of Elvenkind and +1 Quartersraff.

Argh! I only hope they sell out the rest of the tokens, before my resolve breaks and I buy again!

I agree with Gary. He and I just consumated a trade. Was it a good trade? I think so because each got what he needed or wanted--regardless of a supposed gp value. Even with posted prices there is always a black market, and there are always deals in a free market where supply and demand eventually determine value. AND there are always good customers who get treated better than bad customers.

The economics from the real world holds true in TD because the commodities marketplace will eventually even out.

Personal note--will I make better deals before Indy? Of course. Wait until I get pigeons just about to enter the dungeon without a sword. By the time I get finished with them they will enter in their underwear, but they will have a sword --just kidding. But demand will be much greater as a time factor limits their ability to "shop" for the best deals. Es la vida.

You are right. Depending on what class can use it, the +2 Cloak may be the most valueable token in the game.

Interesting that you mention this. In my initial estimate of prices based on the Token Guide, this is one of the most valuable items (2nd most to be exact).

Well, I bought some more, traded a bit, and now I am only looking for an Amulet +1 Oh, also some Mage Armors.

I have Full Plate(s), Hvy. Repeating Xbow, all sorts of rares etc, and lots of gems and cash. If you want to complete your gem collection, I could help you.

Hopefully there will be a crazy hermit NPC in the dungeon offering to sell rare (or even unique) items for gems lol... Although there should be a way to turn in a complete set for something really, really nice. At least I can hope.
