Ok, my tokens DID come this time. Not kidding. From your want list I have a +1 Quarterstaff and the Wand of Detect Magic (although I *could* be talked out of this one, I am inclinded to keep it). And from your list, I would like the Wand of Cure Light Wounds. Nothing else to trade?

Gary, I am quite sure I have your staff, dagger, wand of detect, great axe maybe ( I have to check for sure on that one). Hang onto the wand of cure light for me. I am sure we can work something out.


Dequils--pretty sure I can get you darkvision and wand of Melf's acid arrows. I might need another long sword.

I have not posted availables and needs yet because my wife can't make up her mind on which character class she wants to play (today I'll be a bard, tomorrow a magic user, and yesterday a cleric--aaaargh). This may be fortunate because I want to scope out the guide on who can use what. I'm an old fart compared to you young bucks. I have the 3 manual first edition boxed set, and the first edition MM, CG, DM guide etc. I was talking with Margaret Weis last October at a writers conference about all the choose your own ending books, if that gives you and idea how old I am. We laughed about how D&D has changed over the years. That was where I cut my teeth, and I want to make sure I know what from what. 'cause I haven't kept up.

I know I will be looking for:

Elixir of Life (2 if I can find them)
Cure light wound potions (as many as I can find) (don't trust that my wife will play a cleric--might not trust her if she does)
Wand of Cure light wounds
Large Shield
Possibly +1 Great Sword


To trade, I have lots of scrolls, thieves tools, boots of elven kind, all common weapons and armor, most rare weapons and armor, and most very rare weapons and armor. Just ask. If you are going Indy and you can't or don't want to chance a random bag or two, or if you have gold or gems from last year you are willing to spend or items to trade, talk to me. I can help you with common items at the very least to outfit yourself for a particular character class.

Dequils I was mistaken about the wand of Melf's acid arrows. That stuck in my mind, but it was a scroll--sorry. Thanks for the spreadsheet.

After the Token Guide is published on Friday, we can see what we can do for trades. (and after I decide for my wife what character she is going to play . . . do any of you other guys have problems with you wife making and sticking to a decision? I think I might need all that anti-toxin. Now I remember why I need the Elixir of Life. Put the axe down dear.),

Your weapons are on the way. It was too funny at the post office. I put them in a pouch and wrapped them securely in an envelope to ship priority. The lady at the counter asked me if the package contained anything dangerous-- --How do you tell somebody--yeah it's dangerous--it's a +1 Great Axe and that's not all. I kept quiet so I wasn't taken into custody. Cleave a couple of orc necks and have fun.

Don't have anything you're looking for, but am wondering if you have extras and you might be willing to trade. As you know, I intent to play the thief. I need some boots, badly. My wife and I finally discussed which tokens I could trade away.
What do you think of the following trade:

I also need, it seems, a shortsword and a longsword. Is there anything small that you would want for them?

Sounds OK - before I say DONE can you bundle all 4 itmes into a trade - scroll, TTools, Sh SW and LG SW - and give me an offer?

If you want me to get excited about this trade - throw in some gems or gold...the scroll and weapon are just items I would trade away - but I do want you geared up for INDY so I will hold the boots and TTools!
