TOPIC: Silver pieces

Am I dreaming or did I see "Silver Pieces" being advertised on the GenCon forums?

Now I'll need a second job, just to get all the kewl stuff from TD.

To make things as geeky as possible, we decided to have all real commerce(soda, mugs, etc.) done with something that would be geekier than dropping a $5 down at the soda bar. So, we came up with the idea of going up to the soda bar and throwing down a silver piece -- or 3 sp for a mug of soda. The Marriott will be doing the beer and wine, so cash will still be required for them.
Behold...the official True Dungeon Silver Piece. It is the size of an Ike dollar, but made out of dwarven silver (aluminum). I think it is a little thicker. They will be the currency inside the tavern for real world stuff, and it should be perhaps the geekiest thing I have come up with yet! There will be one "token booth" where you trade in cash/credit cards for silver pieces at a rate of $5/sp. Note that due to huge hassles with credit cards, there will be no refunds -- but the coins are good for life.
Some of these may even show up in a tower or dungeon north of Greyhawk, as well.
And yes...I did do the poker chip shuffle thing with a stack of them --letting them fall into my hand like a slinky. It was perhaps the geekiest thing I have ever done, but I loved it. Here are both sides.
