TOPIC: Question about Drinking Horn of Bliss

I have a Drinking Horn of Bliss and drink a Potion Polymorph (Bear.)

I also have a Greater Alchemist Pouch and a Belt of Wealful Health.

Do I heal 1 or 3 HP? (as well as change into a bear.)

As the Potion Polymorph Bear is not an item that restores HP, I would believe that it is not affected by Greater Alchemist's Pouch or Girdle of Wealful Health.

The Drinking Horn of Bliss specifically requires non-healing potions. Since it does not say that it then changes the nature of the potion, I would assume you do not gain 3 HP. You would gain 1 HP from the Drinking Horn of Bliss.

That said, this is in no way an official ruling, merely my interpretation.

That’s how I read it. The other wrinkle: the link to GAP says a single potion can’t be both Tulzed and GAPed since the potion may only be stored in one place. I wonder if, by extension, you can only use the effect of one of the three.

The girdle specifically says it stacks with the Greater Alchemist's Pouch.

I doubt either works with Drinking Horn of Bliss though.

The general concept is you have to pick your item you wish to store your potions in (GAP, Pouch of Tulz, Belt of Retrieval) and you only the the effect from the item that is storing your potions. The Girdle doesn't apply cause it is not storing your potions just a magic effect.

Yes, I'm seeing that now as I'm looking through the database descriptions. The general trend seems against allowing you to combine effects except where explicitly stated.

I'm starting to second guess some of the things I took for granted. Such as:

Can I drink a potion using a free action granted by Shirt of the Fae and benefit from Greater Alchemist Pouch?

I'm starting to think I can't.

I would think you could. The shirt is giving you the ability to drink as a free action. You grab it from your GAP and drink it.

This is different than the potion being stored in the shirt, as it would be in a pouch of Tulz.
