Note: This spell cannot be used with any AC-enhancing item worn in the torso slot–including robes.

Can it be used with moonhide since it is dex based?

Can it be combined with scroll shield?


If my to hit is high but dam is 0 , will I still deal damage to a monster?

I think Scroll Mage Armor + DEX granting torso slot item is a good question. I would think they would work together, but who knows. If they don't work together the wording in TokenDB should probably be made to clarify this.


Scroll Shield specifically says it cannot be used with any armor, garment, item, or spell which grants an AC bonus. Scroll Mage Armor is an item that grants and AC bonus, so Scroll Shield can not be used with it.

Generally yes, if you are sliding a melee or ranged attack with a physical weapon it will have numbers along the outside ring which are used to calculate the damage of an attack, by seeing which number is facing a special damage dot indicator on the combat board.

The damage on your character sheet is added to this number.

If your total attack damage is 0 for some other reason (e.g. you deal 3 points of Fire damage to a Flame Elemental who is immune to Fire Damage) then any retribution damage the monster has will not trigger.

Per Jeff, no. The TDb description for Scroll Mage Armor has been updated to reflect that.

No. Scroll Shield can't be used with anything that boosts your AC. Its TDb description has been updated to specifically state this includes Dex-boosting items.

The party card records bonus damage, not potential damage. If you're attacking with a weapon, the party card's damage bonus is added to the weapon's damage as printed on the token. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any weapons that have a 0 in their damage wheel, so you'll always deal at least 1 point of damage if you're attacking with a weapon.

If your Strength was sufficiently diminished, it might be technically possibly to negate enough of your weapon's damage to net zero damage to a monster.
