TOPIC: Damage by Weapon Analysis

Damage by Weapon Analysis 5 years 10 months ago #1

Has anyone created a chart showing average damage by weapon overall? Periodically, I'll see something like the +1 bliss hammer having the best average damage for a rare one handed weapon. This seems to imply someone put a spreadsheet together with all the average damages (and average on crit). Anyone know where I can find this?

I know many of the character generators display the average damage for each token. You can scroll through them on Cranston’s app, for example.

But I don’t like going by averages. A good slider can usually do top damage. You just have to pay attention to where the damage dot is, and slide without spinning the puck.

I like the +2 war shillelagh for that 2 nice bug numbers for damage and I can usually stick them over all one of the most underrated weapons.

Amorgen's character generator spreadsheet in the Data tab. It is simply an average damage for the damage wheel.

I try to line it up and slide straight too but honestly even a slight bump will change it. So, for me at least, there is some small benefit in having lopsided high-end numbers, but I think it's pretty marginal.

At the UR level I would take Stu's +3 Handy Stein every time over it. Personal preference though I guess, if you like the high damage numbers, have at it :) Relevant discussion: truedungeon.com/forum?view=topic&catid=5&id=244413#274376
