TOPIC: You can trade in old Trade Tokens at Origins!

If you have any left over "gold backed" Trade tokens, you can exchange them for new "chocolate backed" Trade tokens at Origins Game Fair. Just drop them off and we will make the exchange as quickly as possible. Please fill out the form with your name and quantities exchanged. Please keep it separate for other transmute orders.

Gen Con

We want to exchange gold for chocolate Trade tokens at Gen Con, too -- but the details are still being worked out. For a lot of reasons over the past few years we have restricted the transmuting at Gen Con to just NON-Trade Tokens (the opposite of what I posted). You will be able to exchange gold for brown-backed Trade Tokens at Gen Con (as well as make non-Trade Tokens like Relics and such), but you cannot turn in basic tokens to be converted to Trade Tokens. Thus, you can exchange gold-back Dwarven Steels for brown-backed Dwarven Steel (and you can make any light blue, dark blue or orange token) but you can't turn in 25 Common weapons for a new Dwarven Steel brown-backed Trade Token. You cannot trade in GP tokens for Reserve Bars at Gen Con...only through the mail or at smaller Cons.

Gamehole Con

You will be able to trade in gold for "chocolate" Trade tokens at Gamehole Con, too. You would WILL BE able to make any Transmuted tokens that you wish.

Is the no transmute a change from previous gen cons? I thought that you could not make trade tokens at gen con but transmuting to relics was available. Sorry if I'm confusing the actions.

No worries...sorry for the confusion... I mis-spoke. Hi Jeff,

Are we able to trade in GP/Gem tokens for GP Reserve tokens at GENCON, or is that restricted like Trade Tokens?

It would be great if you were able to figure out some way at GENCON to allow transmuting of Trade Item Tokens, even if you have to wait a day or two to get them back.
