TOPIC: Question on Shaed use

Question on Shaed use 6 years 1 month ago #1

So if I’m wearing Shaed and I use Mad Evokers Charm. Does Shaed mitigate the damage taken?

No, because cutting yourself doesn't constitute an attack.

-2 damage from all melee, missile & spell attacks

I agree with kirk but it would make the shaed a little more useful if it worked that way.

I expect the damage done via the evoker's charm was intended to include the phrase "and cannot be mitigated".
Or something to the effect to let you know you can't reduce it.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

The fact that the Evoker's Damage is "The wizard will take the 10 Eldritch damage" makes me think it is designed not to be reduced.

I would argue that self-cannibalization is neither a melee, missile, nor spell damage, but that's moot because even if it were one of those three things, MEC deals Eldritch damage and absolutely nothing can negate Eldritch damage.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
